This is a subject I regrettably understand and am very impressed with the level of understanding you have regarding this type of traumatic shock syndrome Story Weaver

Very powerful and honest. This sentence is very telling, "A castle without doors, a prison without a key, and a nightmare without an end." It really struck home.
LMR420 wrote,
"Castle walls replaced her freedom and the pain became her captors, forcing her to hide in the shadows. Imprisoned in the great tower out of touch were trust, peace, and love."
Incredibly written again. I pasted that section in because the metaphor couldn't represent a more right on image. I am overly impressed and scared that Ii relate too well

This really hit home. You've got your own style here and I really like it. It made me sad, I won't deny. There is so much here that is me. I passed by it then came back to tell you how great of job you did. I'll try to go to the next.

This is by far one of the best poems I have read as far as depth and mixtures of technique are concerned. It's very emotionally compelling and the flow as well as the story content are strong. The rhymes are wonderful too. Best wishes... ~Jean~

This was deeply moving to read. The honesty of the emotions expressed brings tears to the eyes. The soaring angel's words are inspiring and uplifting. The last stanza is perfect. Thank you for sharing this angel's courageous journey with us.

Her journey seems like it has lasted forever and all she wants to do is go home. She has been through hell, but now feels like she is finally headed in the right direction, finally headed home
The first verse you wrote, for me took 8 years to get home. Like I said before - your insight or whatever you wish to name it - is amazing. Well done Jim

What a beautiful free-flowing poem that has a quiet haunting quality to it. Very emotional and uplifting. You definitely have a way of weaving words into something very visual. Well written.

Definitely goose bump material! You said it all so perfectly. Thank you, Jim, for sharing this gift with us. There are many who are slowly dying inside while everyone passes by..Even the good samaritans have gotten caught up in churchism. You though, have shown a great kindness and have stored up for yourself eternal treasures which shall never rust or be eaten by moths. This person you wrote of is blessed to know you....but from what I sense of your spirit, it is you who feels has been blessed in knowing them...May Father fill your cup to overflowing with His blessings...in all ways and in all things...in this life and the life to come...In the matchless name of Jesus....AMEN!.......................
Take care and "BE" blessed.
